What is the six-monthly medical examination (6ME) for?

As your maid works in close contact with your family members, it is in your interest to send your maid for regular medical screenings. Hence, Singapore Ministry of Manpower (MOM) requires all employers to send their maids for a medical screening every six months during her employment. This medical examination screens for pregnancy and infectious diseases such as syphilis, HIV and tuberculosis.
