There are two beneficiary types –Trust Nomination and Revocable Nomination. A Trust Nomination means you’ll give away all rights to your policy ownership. This means you can’t make any policy changes without getting your beneficiary’s approval. A Revocable Nomination means you can make policy changes without your beneficiary’s approval.
