Yes, you have to inform FWD if the residence to be insured has changed.
If there is a change in residence address to be insured with the same home content and renovation sum insured, please provide us with the following information:
• Effective date of change in residence to be insured (no backdating)
• New address
• New property type: landed, condo or HDB
• New unit type: studio, 1 to 5 bedrooms, executive/multi-generation
• Written declaration via email that there will be no claims prior the effective date.
Please note that any change in the insured residence may lead to an adjustment in the premium, which will depend on the specifics of the new residence.
If there’s a change in the home content and renovation sum insured, you have to buy a new policy and cancel your existing policy, subject to cancellation terms and conditions as per our policy wording.
