Yes, FWD Travel insurance covers any activities in the following condition:
- You are not participating as a professional
- You are not receiving any financial reward or incentives
- These activities are managed by a licensed commercial operator
- You follow the rules and safety procedures (inclusive of wearing appropriate equipment) required or recommended by the operator
- These activities are not classified as extreme sports
Specifically for scuba diving activities:
- You are not diving alone
- You are not diving without an equal or higher certified companion
- You are not diving beyond the qualified depth based on your PADI certification (or similar recognised certification)
- You are not diving beyond the depth of 30 metres
For equipment coverage, you will need to purchase the Sports Equipment Protector rider as an add-on to your FWD Travel insurance. With the Sports Equipment Protector rider, you will be covered up to S$2,000 for your sports equipment* that has been stolen or accidentally damaged, including up to S$100 per day for rental replacements.
